If you’re employed for at least 16 hours a week under an employment contract, you’ll be covered if you can’t work due to an accident, sickness or involuntary job loss by Bills Protection. Whether you’re employed or self-employed you can also benefit from hospitalisation expenses cover.
If you have an accident or you’re sick and you can’t work for more than 30 days (waiting period) because of that, you’re eligible for a maximum of two claims per 12 month period. As for involuntary employment loss, if you can’t work for more than 30 days (waiting period) you’re eligible for a maximum of one claim per 12 month period.
For Premium and Classic accounts, if you have an accident or suffer a sickness that results in a hospital stay of over 48 hours (waiting period) then you can submit a claim.
For Premium:
- In the case of being unable to work for more than 30 days due to an accident or sickness or involuntary loss of employment: the policy will pay a single payment equivalent to six times the average monthly bills paid from your Monese account, up to £1,800. This is based on the average of recurring bills paid from your Monese account over the last 6 months.
- Hospitalisation care coverage up to £50 for every complete 24 hour period for up to 30 days, from which the first 48 hours is deductible (i.e. not covered by the protection)
For Classic:
