To block your card with help of our interactive voice response (IVR) service, simply call us on +44 1706 304001. This service is available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish languages.
All you’ll need is your date of birth and the phone number that’s registered with your Monese account. Then simply follow the instructions of the voice response:
Enter the phone number registered with your Monese account, including the country code, then press #. See examples below:
If you have a UK number 01182 304001 and country code (+44), then please enter 441182304001#
If you have a Romanian number 031 630 828533 and country code (+40), then please enter 4031630828533#
Tell us your date of birth by entering the day month year and press #
For example, if your date of birth is - 2 May 1999 you have to enter 02051999#
- Make sure to only use numbers without any special characters ( / . , - ) or spaces. Also, don't use 00 or '+' sign before the country code or the phone number.
Once you’ve entered these successfully, we’ll block your cards and send you an email confirmation to your registered address. If you need to unblock your card again at any time, you can do this in your Monese app or simply reply to the email confirmation and our Support team will help.
