To upgrade to a French account number, you’ll need to be using the latest version of our app. You’ll also need to be a French resident and we’ll ask you to provide a second ID document (different from the one you signed up to us with).
Once you’ve upgraded your app, you’ll see the option to upgrade to a French account number on your home screen when you next log in.
You can use any of these as your second ID documents:
- National identity card (only EEA issued ones)
- Driving license (only EEA issued ones)
- Long-term EU/EEA resident card
- Temporary EU/EEA residence permit
- Resident card (EU/EEA)
- Multi-year residence permit (EU/EEA)
Once we’ve verified your second ID document, we’ll switch your account number to a French one that you can then find under account details in your home screen. Your old account details will still be at the bottom in case you need them.
You’ll still be able to receive payments to your original GB account number, but we recommend that you use your new French account number for any future payments.
