There are three ways to send funds to your Monese Eurozone account:
- SEPA credit transfers in EUR directly to your Eurozone account
- SWIFT payments in EUR via Monese International Deposits account
- Instant Debit card Top up
SEPA credit transfers:
You can receive SEPA payments only in EUR to your individual IBAN number (found in the Monese app) from any bank in the SEPA area. This is free and takes up to one working day, depending on the time of transfer.
Please note that when opening a EUR account, you will not be able to view your account details until you have verified your address. You can verify your address by receiving and activating your card. You will not be able to view or access your account until you have verified your address.
International SWIFT payments:
From countries not in SEPA you can receive funds sent in EUR via SWIFT payments to the Monese International Deposit Account. The account number and transaction details are described here. This is free from the Monese side but the sending bank and corresponding banks may charge fees.
Instant Debit Card Top up
To instantly top up your Monese account by debit card, you will need to go into your Monese application and enter your debit card information. This can be found under Instant Top up.
You can choose the amount and have up to 3 different debit cards added at any one time. The card must also be in your name and the funds will show up instantly.
Debit card top-ups are free of charge. Any foreign exchange will be done by the issuer of the debit card used. Please also note that credit cards will not work with this feature.
At this time we do not offer cash top up options for the Eurozone accounts.
