What is a multi-currency IBAN / BIC?

IBAN stands for International Bank Account Number, which you can use when making or receiving international payments.

Your IBAN doesn’t replace your other account details ─ it’s an additional number with extra information to help overseas banks identify your account for incoming payments.

A BIC code (or SWIFTBIC, as it’s sometimes known) is a code that helps overseas banks identify which bank to send money to, it stands for Bank Identifier Code.

If you've subscribed for a multi-currency IBAN with Monese, you can find your SWIFT IBAN & BIC in your app under the relevant account details or when you follow the Add Money / Bank Transfer steps.

So that someone can easily send you money, you'll need to share both of these with them.
