What if I miss a Monese Boost payment?

Missing payments can have a negative impact on your credit score, but we understand that sometimes it’s unavoidable.
To give you peace of mind, we’ve set up a process to help you catch up on your missed payments. You won’t be able to boost new transactions while you have missed payments.
First 7 days:
We’ll give you a 7-day grace period to pay your missed Monese Boost payment. If you still can’t make your missed payment within these 7 days you will have until day 30 to catch up on your repayment. However, there will be additional interest which will accrue after day 7 as your original repayment is late.
After 30 days:
If you haven’t taken any action after 30 days of missing your payment, we’ll need to report your account as being in arrears. From this stage, it will start to impact your credit score.
To try to avoid this, we’ll remind you on a regular basis about your missed repayments, both in your app and via the email registered to your Monese account.
After 90 days:
After 90 days, we’ll contact you through your Monese app to give you 30 days' notice that you’ll be in something called ‘default’ if you reach 120 days after your missed Credit Builder payment. This means that at 120 days, we’ll close your Monese Boost and Credit Builder, and use the money you’ve accumulated on your Credit Builder balance to cover the missed Monese Boost repayments.
We’ll also give you notice of this via the email address registered on your account, and send a letter to your home address.
After 120 days:
If it’s been more than 120 days and you haven’t covered the missed payment, you’ll be in default as described above, and we’ll close your Monese Boost and Credit Builder. We’ll then use the money you’ve accumulated on your Credit Builder balance to cover the missed Monese Boost repayments.
After we’ve closed your Credit Builder and Monese Boost and settled your missed repayments, we’ll transfer any money left in your Credit Builder account to your main Monese GBP balance. You can read more from Here
